Ron joined the company in 2002. In addition to overseeing the company's day-to-day operations he is focused on building the corporate infrastructure needed to support the rapidly growing market opportunities for GenomeQuest.
Ranauro participated in the growth and maturity of the Electronics Computer Aided Engineering (ECAE) industry from the early 1980's to the late 1990's. There he honed the basic selling, marketing and business strategies that have helped position GenomeQuest for leadership in the life sciences. Prior to joining GenomeQuest he founded and led Blackstone Technology Group, a grid-computing provider to the life science IT field.
Prior to founding Blackstone, Ranauro held positions in sales, sales management, and general management at Nextwave Design Automation and Exemplar Logic. Ranauro began his career as a software engineer at Viewlogic Systems and Data General Corporation.
Ron serves on the Executive Council of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Department of Management and was previously an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Clark University where he taught a class in Entrepreneurial Selling. He earned a BS degree in management and an MS in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Dr. Codani provides the GenomeQuest's technology vision and direction. For over a decade he has been a leading innovator in the development of the core technologies used to implement GenomeQuest. Prior to his association with GenomeQuest he lead a four year research program on large scale sequence search at the French National Research Institute for Computer Science and Control (INRIA). Before that he was instrumental in developing the computational tools necessary for the physical mapping of the human genome at the Genethon/CEPH.
As chief financial officer, Deirdre Aubuchon is responsible for GenomeQuest's worldwide financial operations ensuring that the company maintains the financial infrastructure necessary to successfully execute the company's strategic plan. She brings to GenomeQuest over 20 years of financial leadership helping to build fast-growing technology companies. Aubuchon most recently served as Deploy Solutions' chief financial and operating officer when the SaaS company achieved five consecutive years of more than 50% annual revenue growth while earning both local and national Best Places to Work awards prior to selling the company to Kronos, Inc. Before Deploy, Deirdre served as vice president of finance for ZEFER, where she led the company's IPO process after building the infrastructure to grow the company to 800 employees with $110 million of revenue in less than two years. Prior to joining ZEFER, she was vice president of corporate finance at Liberty International where she directed worldwide M&A activity. She has also held senior-level positions in finance with Berlitz International, Standard & Poor's, and Dun & Bradstreet Software. Aubuchon is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and holds an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Dr. Arnold leads GenomeQuest's global sales team. Drew joined GenomeQuest in 2006 as head of strategic accounts, a role in which he was a leader and major contributor to GenomeQuest's compelling sales successes. He has over 10 years of experience in the life sciences industry, largely in senior business development, management and scientific applications roles. Prior to joining GenomeQuest, Dr. Arnold served as Vice President of Business Development for Silicon Informatics, Inc. Before Silicon Informatics, he was Senior Director, Business Development at LION Bioscience of Cambridge, where he set up US sales and support operations and lead strategic alliances for drug discovery. Dr. Arnold also served as Group Leader, Scientific Applications Managers, for Molecular Applications Group, Inc. He received his Ph.D. in physiology from Cornell University in 1993 and also has degrees from Oregon State University and the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Resnick heads up GenomeQuest's product development and professional services organizations. He has extensive experience in building and growing innovative, sales-driven technology teams in the software and life science industries. Prior to joining GenomeQuest, Resnick was the CEO of Harmony Line, Inc., an MIT Media Lab startup and the commercial force behind the Media Lab's music composition software, Hyperscore. Prior to Harmony Line, Resnick spent over a decade in the sequence informatics industry, founding and selling Mosaic Bioinformatics in 1999 to NetGenics, Inc., working as the global bioinformatics software manager for Wyeth, and contributing to the Human Genome Project under Eric Lander at the MIT Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research.
Mr. Resnick holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management, an M.S. in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Flynn, who serves as chief marketing officer (CMO) has a 20-year history of helping shape and develop new markets and increase sales in high technology. His previous assignments include CMO at Bentley Systems, Inc., a provider of engineering software to the global infrastructure market which grew from $27M to $450M during his span with the company. Flynn also served in marketing management for two start-ups in the electronic design automation (EDA) that each achieved IPO and market leadership. Prior to joining GenomeQuest as CMO, he served the company in a consulting role for one year -- a period which saw marketing metrics rise by over fifty percent. Flynn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with minors and post-graduate work in Computer Science and EE from the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
