Leader in sequence search signs on longtime industry executive to lead and support overseas sales of GenomeQuest™.

Westborough, Massachusetts - February 7, 2007 – Gene-IT, a leader in sequence search for research and IP, today announced that the company has hired Oliver Bayliss as Director of European Sales, to assist overseas sales efforts for its flagship GenomeQuest™ sequence search software suite.

Prior to joining Gene-IT, Bayliss led BioWisdom's worldwide direct sales operation and channel strategies, and was responsible for relationships with scientific application and content providers. He has extensive experience in sales and business development roles at a number of companies serving the pharmaceutical and biotech markets. After building successful sales teams at DNAStar and Oxford Molecular, Bayliss spent several years in the U.S., leading the sales effort for GCG (Accelrys) and Viaken Systems.
